Our Program

GUSD preschools provide a safe, nurturing environment that prepares students for TK and kindergarten. Preschool instruction is based on the California Department of Education Preschool Learning Foundations. In the half-day Armenian immersion preschool program, children receive instruction in Armenian for 50% of the day and in English for 50% of the day.

• Spaces are limited
• No fee for income-eligible families
• Enrollment is offered to four-year-old children first, then three-year-olds
• Children must be three years old by December 1 of the school year in which they enroll
• Children born after December 2 may enroll on or after their third birthday
• Enrollment in our Armanian dual immersion preschool does not guarantee enrollment in a GUSD elementary dual language immersion program.

Program Hours

The half-day preschool program operates three hours each day. Lunch is provided to all students. 

• Morning session: 8:30-11:30 a.m.
• Afternoon session: 12:30-3:30 p.m.
