Elementary Academics
Glendale Unified School District elementary schools are committed to creating an enriching environment that promotes understanding, knowledge, and critical thinking in our students. We are committed to developing our students to be critical consumers of knowledge that will prepare them for their next steps in education and beyond into college or career readiness and life.
Using our California State Standards in English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, and English Language Development, we will
- engage students in reading complex texts to access all areas of instruction
- use evidence and context in all areas, and build knowledge.
We will focus deeply on the concepts in each subject to build understanding and application into real life situations, allowing our students to make connections and build solid foundations for future learning.
