Optional Student Accident Insurance

Glendale Unified takes every measure to protect our students. Optional supplemental accident insurance is available for all students attending GUSD schools to provide additional coverage should an accident occur. Supplemental accident insurance is provided by the Myers-Stevens Company. GUSD has no financial ties to and has received no financial benefit from the Myers-Stevens Company. 

Families who do not have health insurance are encouraged to consider supplemental accident insurance for their children. Families who have health insurance policies that cover their children are encouraged to review the benefits of supplemental accident insurance as a supplement to their existing policy. Any amount payable by your primary insurance provider will be subtracted from the covered expenses, and the supplemental insurance will pay benefits based on the remaining amount. Please take the time to carefully read and understand what benefits supplemental accident insurance has to offer and review the exclusions and other limitations provided in the brochure.

How to Enroll

To enroll, please visit the Myers-Stevens Company website at www.myers-stevens.com. You may enroll your student at any time. Pay rates for medical and dental insurance plans are the same regardless of enrollment date. Once processing is completed, an ID card verifying coverage will be mailed to your home.
