Glendale Unified is pleased to participate in the CalFresh Healthy Living Program to support student and family wellness at five schools. Through this program, we provide nutrition education classes, increased access to healthy food and opportunities for physical activity.

Glendale Unified provides free breakfast and lunch for all students every school day!
Students may choose to purchase a second meal or a-la-carte items. GUSD Nutrition Services has an online prepayment system called EZSchool Pay. Cash and checks can also be used to make prepayments at your child's school cafeteria or at the Nutrition Services Office.

The Board of Education and the Glendale Unified School District are committed to providing a Wellness Policy that promotes nutritional, physical, and mental health. We believe that a positive, safe, and healthy learning environment is necessary for students to have the opportunity to achieve personal, academic, developmental, and social success.

GUSD Nutrition Services provides meal accommodations for students who need them. If your student requires a special diet for religious or other reasons, please contact the Nutrition Services office.

Glendale Unified convenes a Wellness Council, comprised of teachers, administrators, school health professionals, Nutrition Services employees, and community organizations. The Wellness Council engages in oversight of the GUSD Wellness Policy in its development, implementation, periodic review and revision.
