Meeting Agendas and Minutes

NEW! Starting July 2026, Glendale Unified School District will use GAMUT to organize and manage Board of Education meetings.

GAMUT provides convenient public access to Board meeting agendas, minutes, and other meeting materials. This platform offers a centralized and convenient way for families, staff, and community members to access Board information and stay connected to discussions, actions, and decisions. We encourage our GUSD community to explore the platform to stay informed about the work that helps shape our schools.

The GUSD Board of Education welcomes participation from the public during our public meetings. Find meeting dates, agendas, and instructions for public communication below.

  • Glendale Unified Board of Education meetings are open to the public. Additionally, Board of Education meetings are recorded live at spectrumstream.com/streaming/gusd/live.cfm.

    Glendale residents who subscribe to Charter Spectrum TV or AT&T U-verse can watch meetings on television by tuning to channel 15 (Spectrum) or channel 99 (U-verse).

    Meetings will begin at 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted in the agenda.

    Videos of Board of Education meetings prior to June 30, 2018 are currently unavailable online. We apologize for the inconvenience. For a DVD copy of a board meeting, please contact the Public Information Office at (818) 241-3111, ext. 1218.

    Board of Education DVDs are available for sale at $10 each. When ordering DVDs, please specify the date of the Board Meeting. The DVD archive dates back to August 15, 2006.

  • An individual or group representative may address the Board of Education on any agenda item or subject within its jurisdiction.

    IN-PERSON

    • Individuals wishing to participate in public communication may do so in-person by completing a comment card upon arrival at the district office. Comment cards will be accepted from 30 minutes prior to the meeting start time until the public communication section begins.
    • The Board will limit the total time for public comment to 60 minutes. Not more than three minutes may be allotted to each speaker and no more than 21 minutes to each subject, except by unanimous consent of the Board. A speaker’s allotted time cannot be deferred to another speaker.
    • Board members may question the speaker but there will be no debate or decision. The Superintendent may refer the matter to the proper department for review.
    • A student’s parent/guardian, or a student if age 18 or older, may request that the minutes exclude the student’s directory information, as defined in Education Code 49061, or a parent/guardians’ personal information, as defined in Education Code 49073.2. The request to exclude such information shall be made in writing to the secretary or clerk of the Board.
    • Glendale Unified School District will provide accommodations, with reasonable advance notice, for any individual with a disability or any individual requiring translation needing to address the Board of Education during Public Communication. Please contact the Glendale Unified Public Information Office at (818) 241-3111 x1218 or publicinfo@gusd.net at least 24 hours before the start of the meeting to request.

    To submit an online comment:

    1. Create an email to publiccomment@gusd.net
    2. In the subject line, type “Pre-submitted Written Public Comment”
    3. Push <Send>. There is no need to write any text in the body of the email as you will submit your comment via the form

     

    • The public comment must be designated to an upcoming Board of Education meeting. Pleae specify the meeting date.
    • In compliance with Board Bylaw 9323, comments will be limited to 450 words or less; any words in excess of this limitation will not be included in the public record. Authors are encouraged to submit writings with due respect for the dignity of a public meeting in the decorum of a public school setting.
    • Comments must be submitted by 12 PM on the day of the board meeting for which the comment is intended.
    • A commenter or student may request that the minutes exclude the student’s directory information,as defined in Education Code 49061, or a parent/guardians’ personal information, as defined in Education Code 49073.2
    • Pre-submitted written public comments will be recorded into the public record but will not be read at the Board Meetings.
