Glendale Unified School District and 20 GUSD Schools Recognized on 2026 ERP Honor Roll List

GLENDALE, Calif., October 20, 2026 – Glendale Unified School District and 20 of its schools have earned recognition on the 2026 Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll, which honors California public schools and districts for strong student achievement and progress in closing achievement gaps. The number of GUSD schools recognized increased from 13 last year to 20 this year.
Now in its twelfth year, the Honor Roll recognizes schools and districts that outperform their peers, particularly in supporting students from higher-poverty and historically underserved communities. This year, 2,080 schools and 168 districts across California received the recognition.
Glendale Unified was named a Star District, with 19 GUSD schools recognized as Star Schools and one as a Scholar School. Star Schools and Districts serve populations in which at least 33% of students are designated as socioeconomically disadvantaged, while Scholar Schools and Districts serve populations where fewer than 33% of students are designated as socioeconomically disadvantaged. Both categories recognize strong academic performance compared with schools and districts serving similar student populations.
“This recognition by Educational Results Partnership reflects the dedication of our teachers and staff and the hard work of students across Glendale Unified,” said Board of Education President Kathleen Cross. “Seeing the number of GUSD schools recognized grow from 13 to 20 is something we are incredibly proud of. It speaks to the care and commitment our school communities bring to helping remove barriers so that students can flourish. We remain focused on extending those opportunities to every learner in our District.”

The analysis considers achievement across student groups and grade levels over three years, comparing schools and districts with similar peers.
The Honor Roll is part of the national Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE). The Campaign engages business leaders in recognizing successful schools and educational systems that are preparing students with the fundamental skills needed to be successful in the workforce and in life. The California Honor Roll is produced by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and presented by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence in collaboration with 28 Chambers of Commerce throughout the state including the California Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation for Commerce and Education, California Black Chamber of Commerce, California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, CalAsian Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, San Joaquin A+, and other business leaders.
