GUSD High Schools Recognized in U.S. News & World Report 26–27 Best High Schools Rankings

Anderson Clark Magnet ranks among the top 30 high schools in California and top 10 in the Los Angeles metropolitan area
GLENDALE, Calif., August 21, 2026 — All four Glendale Unified high schools included in the newly released U.S. News & World Report 2026–2027 Best High Schools rankings earned recognition among the nation’s top public high schools, with Anderson W. Clark Magnet High School and Crescenta Valley High School ranking among the top schools in California.
U.S. News evaluated approximately 27,000 public high schools nationwide, with nearly 18,000 receiving individual rankings.
Glendale Unified schools earned the following rankings:
- Clark Magnet High School: No. 217 nationally, No. 30 in California and No. 10 in the Los Angeles metropolitan area
- Crescenta Valley High School: No. 699 nationally, No. 106 in California and No. 46 in the Los Angeles metropolitan area
- Hoover High School: No. 5,609 nationally, No. 782 in California and No. 314 in the Los Angeles metropolitan area
- Glendale High School: No. 7,682 nationally, No. 972 in California and No. 357 in the Los Angeles metropolitan area

This recognition speaks to our commitment to providing strong academics and meaningful opportunities that prepare every student for success in college, career and life.”
The U.S. News Best High Schools methodology focuses on six factors: college readiness; reading, math and science proficiency; reading, math and science performance; underserved student performance; college curriculum breadth; and graduation rates.
