Intra- and Inter- District Permits

Glendale Unified is now accepting permits for the 2024-25 school year!

The permit application for the 2024-25 school year is now open.

Enrollment Permits
Glendale Unified recognizes the need and provides an opportunity for parents/guardians to request a permit for their child to attend a school other than their assigned school of residence.
Permits (new and renewal) are granted on a continuous basis and depend on space availability and meeting established criteria.

Types of Permits

  • Intra-District Permit - For students who live within Glendale Unified School District boundaries and wish to attend a school other than their assigned school of residence.
  • Inter-District Permit - For students who live outside Glendale Unified attendance boundaries and wish to attend a Glendale Unified school.

  • Note: students living outside Glendale Unified School District boundaries must receive a release from their district of residence in order to obtain an inter-district permit.
