ABOUT AP EXAMS

• AP Exams are standardized exams designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of a specific AP course. Most AP courses have an end-of-year paper-and-pencil exam, but a few courses have different ways to assess what you’ve learned—for example, AP Art and Design students submit a portfolio of work for scoring.

2023 AP Exam Schedule

• AP Exams will be administered in schools as paper-and-pencil* exams during the first two weeks of May: May 1-5 and May 8-12.
• A late-testing window is available May 17-19 if students cannot test during the first two weeks of May.

*As usual, AP Chinese and AP Japanese Exams are administered in school on computers.
