Glendale Unified Named to Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll
GLENDALE, CA – Glendale Unified School District and 23 GUSD schools have been named to the 2019-20 Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll for high achievement and student success. The Honor Roll program is part of a national effort to identify high performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes. This is the sixth year ERP has recognized Honor Roll School Districts. Glendale Unified is one of only seven public school districts in California to receive this honor all six consecutive years. Additionally, 18 GUSD schools have been named 2019-20 “Star Schools,” high performing schools serving higher poverty communities: Clark Magnet HS, Glendale HS, Hoover HS, Roosevelt MS, Toll MS, Wilson MS, Balboa ES, Cerritos ES, Edison ES, Glenoaks ES, Jefferson ES, Keppel ES, La Crescenta ES, Mann ES, Marshall ES, Muir ES, R.D. White ES, and Verdugo Academy independent study program. Five more GUSD schools have been recognized as “Scholar Schools,” high performing schools without significant levels of low-income students: Rosemont MS, Dunsmore ES, Monte Vista ES, Mountain Avenue ES, and Valley View ES. The 2019-20 Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps. For high schools, Honor Roll recognition includes measures of college readiness in students. This year, the California Honor Roll recognized 2,568 higher-performing schools in the state that are distinguished for their academic achievement and closing achievement gaps.
