Glendale Unified School District Launches COVID-19 Dashboard

GLENDALE, CA – Today, the Glendale Unified School District launched the GUSD COVID-19 Dashboard, an online database reporting the number of confirmed coronavirus cases among district students and staff on its campuses and work locations. The Dashboard is available on the Glendale Unified website at www.gusd.net/COVID19Dashboard

Dashboard data will be updated regularly and includes the total number of on-campus students and staff, cumulative and current confirmed cases, and positivity and on-site transmission rates for every district school and work location. In order to protect student and employee privacy, the Dashboard does not include names or personal information.

“Student and employee safety is and always will be our top priority,” said Glendale Unified Board of Education President Dr. Armina Gharpetian. “We are committed to providing accurate and transparent information regarding COVID-19 cases, while also maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of our students and staff.”

Glendale Unified encourages families to be proactive and to reinforce the importance of handwashing, physical distancing, and face coverings. Students and employees are asked to stay home if they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, and to stay home and notify the district if anyone in their household tests positive for COVID-19 or is awaiting test results. The district implements strict testing and contact tracing protocols anytime there is a positive case at a school or district facility.

“As we continue the careful and deliberate return of our highest need students for on-campus childcare and instruction, we are counting on our students, families, and employees to help us by taking responsible measures to protect our entire Glendale Unified community.” said Glendale Unified Superintendent Dr. Vivian Ekchian.
