Sunday Bulletin - May 31
May 31, 2020.
Good evening Titans, this is Ms. De Ladurantey with announcements for the week of June 1st.
As we head into the last full week of the school year we are wrapping up and celebrating a tremendous but unusual year.
Please join us this Thursday at 7:00 PM for our final Toll Foundation meeting for the 2019-2020 school year and to help us thank and recognize some of the outstanding students, teachers and supporters that help make Toll Middle School a better place for our students and their families. This meeting will be held via Zoom. Please go to the Foundation page on our website at www.gusd.net/toll for information on how to rsvp for this celebration.
For 8th grade families:
At this time all 8th grade families have received information about our online promotion celebration. Look for a link at 2pm on Wednesday, June 10th.
We are not letting this year end without honoring our top 8th grade Titans. Our virtual awards ceremony will be released via 8th grade Google Classrooms on Monday, June 8th. All award recipients will receive an invitation via email and a special phone call home. The ceremony is open for all to watch. A big thank you to our teachers and staff for making this so special and an extra thanks to Dr. Solsona and Mr. De La Garza for their production efforts and expertise!
It is our 6th and 7th graders turn to clean out lockers and return textbooks and library books. With social distancing guidelines in mind, this Monday through Thursday 6th and 7th graders can come to Toll to clear out their PE and hallway lockers, return their history textbooks and any library books. Details on the process and a schedule were sent via email last week and are also available on our website and in google classrooms.
If you child has an instrument to return to Toll, Mr. De La Garza will be on campus on Thursday and Friday between 9-noon. Please check his google classroom for details on dropping off instruments safely.
Instruments need to be returned to the Music Room (1170) on Thursday 6/4 or Friday 6/5 between 9 AM and Noon. More detailed information is available in Mr. de la Garza's Google Classes.
Also, all Chromebook returns will be coordinated by the District office over the coming weeks.
I want to acknowledge that this past week and especially this weekend has been difficult and emotional time for many of us. It is so vital that we take the time to listen and support each other. I am very saddened that we are not able to facilitate conversations and offer solace in the classroom when so much is happening across our country. I hope that many of us are taking the time to not only hear but to listen, seek to understand and be allies for each other.
It’s still a great day to be a Titan, we are so glad you are safe at home. We miss you!
