PTA and School News

Dear Valley View Families,

Thank you for a wonderful year. I have enjoyed serving as your PTA President these past two years and hope that you have felt the support you have needed with opportunities provided for all our children to enjoy. While this year is ending in a completely different manner than it began, I know that we have all found new ways to connect. I look forward to continuing to serve on the PTA board in a different capacity next year. While we don’t know what next year will look like, know that your Valley View PTA is committed to ensuring our families are supported and have access to great resources all year long!

A few announcements before I wrap this up. Due to Covid-19, our yearbook production was delayed. We will keep everyone posted on the books’ shipping and how to pick them up when they arrive.

Also, PTA will have two frames available to sign for our retiring teachers, Mr. McCreary and Mrs Hamel, this Sunday through Monday on the porch of 3234 Los Olivos Lane. Please bring your own pen or marker. The frames will be available to sign from 7am-8pm. Please use masks and safe distancing if other families are also arriving at the same time or waiting in line to sign. On Tuesday we will put a painting of Valley View into the frames to be delivered to the teachers on the final day of school.

Reflections projects will be available for pickup at the same location as the frame signing above. Thank you to all those who participated in our Reflections program this year! Next year’s theme is “I Matter Because...” and leaves room for lots of creativity!

Last of all, don’t forget to join us tomorrow at 9:30 for our final Coffee with the Principal for school year.

One upside to virtual meetings is that they have allowed a much broader audience for our discussions and I have enjoyed hearing all of your thoughts and concerns when I have been able to attend. Thank you Dr Reynolds for making yourself available to us so often during remote learning!

Have a good evening and Go Eagles!
