Remote learning through the end of the school year
Dear Valley View families,
This is Dr. Reynolds. I’m sure by now you have received the news that our Superintendent Dr. Ekchian has followed guidelines from the State Superintendent and the Governor and decided that we will continue remote learning through the end of the school year. I know everyone’s hope was that we would be able to return again in May, but we are going to do our best with the current circumstances.
The best thing for all of us to do right now is to remain positive and support our children and each other. Teachers have been working hard to learn new tools, and create a remote learning environment that supports our students and families. That is why it is essential that if you have not done so already, please make sure your child has joined their google classroom. If you need help, contact your classroom teacher and they will provide support or connect you to someone who can help.
This doesn’t mean that school is over. Our teachers and staff are still here for our wonderful students. It will not be perfect in the beginning, but we will adjust and move forward. Please give your teachers feedback. We are in this together and we are the Valley View family. Our next Virtual Coffee with the Principal is scheduled on April 10 at 9:30. You can find information on this and other supports on our website gusd.net/Valleyview.
