Missing You Car Parade and Chromebook Distribution

Dear Valley View Families, this is Dr. Reynolds with a few announcements:
On Friday, March 27th Valley View staff will conduct a “Missing You Car Parade.” We will start at 11:00 am from Valley View and will follow the route attached to this email. If you see us drive by, please wave or shout out. It is important that you maintain safe practices and practice social distancing.

On Thursday, March 26th we will distributing Chromebooks to the students that need them to access online learning opportunities. A survey went out from the district to sign up for a device. If you need a device and have not signed up for one, please call the office asap so we can prepare the devices needed.

To maintain safety for families and staff here is our plan for distribution:
We have designated times based on students last names to limit the number of parents on campus at one time.
If your last name starts with A-I your pickup time is 11:00 am-12:00 pm
If your last name starts with J-R your pickup time is 1:00-2:00 pm
If your last name starts with S-Z your pickup time is 2:00 am-3:00 pm

You will enter from the front gate and cones will be placed approximately 6-8 feet apart. Please move up to the last cone not occupied by someone. Once you have finished the process, you will exit from the parking lot gate.
Please try to have the minimum number of people needed to pick up the device for these appointments. If you have no other choice and must bring your child to the pick-up, please keep them by your side and ensure they are practicing social distancing.

To sign out the device you will need a parent/guardian’s signature on the form (attached) and present your driver license. Forms will be available at the checkout, but if you need to send someone who is not the parent or guardian, please sign the attached the form and have them bring it to the distribution. Your representative could present a picture of the guardian’s license as proof of id.

Please be kind and patient. We will do our best.
As always, I am proud of being the principal of such a great school
