With February beginning, so does Black History Month.  Thanks to MKS, teachers will be highlighting one black artist each week of February. MKS has shared information and art project ideas that teachers will share with students. Parents who are interested can send a picture of their child's project to MKS using this form. They’ll post them on their Facebook page and they will be entered into a drawing. Each week a name will be randomly selected from the art works submitted to us and they will win a book related to that week’s artist. If you have any questions, please send them to mksartshare@gmail.com.

One more project is on the horizon.  Beginning this week we will be collecting Valentine’s for doctors and nurses at local hospitals.  Students can make cards, letters or draw pictures and drop them off at school or mail them to my attention at Mark Keppel.  We need them by February 10th.

That's all for now.  Thanks so much.  Have a great evening.
