Language Acquisition in Dual Language Immersion Programs
Hello FLAG parents,
Don't forget, tonight, December 1, 2020 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. the District is offering a Language Acquisition Parent Academy for all FLAG parents.
This session is highly recommended for parents of elementary-age students who are new to the FLAG program. Learn about the theories of language acquisition, cognitive advantages of learning another language, and the social-emotional benefits of being a part of a dual language immersion program. The session will also debunk myths about language learning and will provide some practical tips for parents to support students on their journey to bilingualism and biliteracy.
Please Zoom in if you are available. Use this link to register: https://glendaleusd.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_GWbQw7HuTdOrxzcwmGmrdQ
