On June 15, GUSD presented GTA with a wage proposal that comes as close to the wage increase proposed by GTA as possible while maintaining district fiscal solvency and not adding to the current budget deficit.

GUSD Reaches Tentative Agreement on Wages with Classified Employee Union
The tentative agreement amounts to a total compensation increase of 7.97% and includes a $1.00 per hour wage increase, retroactive to July 1, 2021 and an additional $1.00 per hour wage increase, effective July 1, 2022.
