Welcome and thank you for visiting my class homepage!
The 2021-2022 school year is nearing the end of the second trimester - time really flies!  Since we have made the transition from distance learning to in-person instruction, I am working hard to ensure that all students receive a robust learning experience along with social/emotional support and structure.
Students are encouraged to work hard each day in order to boost their confidence as well as overall achievement.  As 21st century learners, they put the Common Core skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, and information/technology literacy to use each day in various ways.
Preparation for middle school is of great importance as is having a positive learning environment that values kindness and respect towards others.  In 6th grade, the learning is fun and the memories made will last a lifetime!
Since schedules are very busy during the school year, I update the links to the left with information and resources.  Be sure to check the class calendar regularly, as I will be posting quiz/test dates and other deadlines.  I also email families every week with general information to keep you in the loop and to help with your scheduling at home.  I hope you find these tools to be useful!
Thank you for the guidance, encouragement, and support you provide at home.  A strong partnership between school and home makes a BIG difference in your child's success.  :)
Always feel welcome to contact me with questions or concerns!
