This week we will focus on the letter Ee and the sight words "one" and "two." In math, we will work on addition and numbers to 100. We will also learn about Chinese New Year. On Friday, there is no flag ceremony this week, but the Science Fair is after school. It is a fun event and I hope you can come! If your child made a science project, it is due by Thursday. Valentine's Day is coming up and students will be able to exchange cards. We have 27 students in our class. It is optional, but if your child chooses to make cards for friends, it is best if they sign their name, but do not address it to individual classmates by name. They can leave it blank or write "To my friend." This makes it much easier to pass out. Also, we are in need of decorations for our valentine bags and would appreciate any donations of valentine stickers, foam hearts, doilies, etc. Thank you!

On Wednesday, students can dress cool (with a cool attitude or for cool weather). On Friday, students can wear yellow (or Mountain Avenue blue). This week we will also work on the letter Ww and the sight word "and." We will also work on sorting and classifying objects in math and continue learning about weather and seasons in science. Our 100th day of school is coming up, and we will make a snack with 100 items.
