ASES/RAP Teen Scene for Middle School

Middle School Teen Scene

  • It is time to sign up for the Teen Scene ASES and Teen Scene RAP programs for middle school child care.  The application will open online on Wednesday, May 17 and will close on May 29. 

     

    Teen Scene ASES
    The After-School Education and Safety Program (ASES) is a state grant program aimed at improving student performance in school and providing a safe environment for students after school. Teen Scene ASES operates on school days only from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. and is located at Roosevelt, Toll, and Wilson Middle Schools. The Teen Scene ASES program is free aside from a $75 registration fee collected at the beginning of the school year.

     

    Teen Scene RAP

    Teen Scene RAP is a private pay child care program aimed at improving student performance in school and providing a safe environment for students after school. Teen Scene RAP operates on school days only from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. and is located at Rosemont Middle School. A monthly fee of $216 per student and a one-time $75 registration fee (collected at the beginning of the school year) apply.

     

    Spaces will be allocated in Teen Scene ASES and RAP per the following priorities:

    • Children of GUSD Staff
    • Foster/homeless youth
    • Returning Teen Scene ASES/RAP students
    • New Teen Scene ASES/RAP students

     

    A lottery for spaces for new Teen Scene ASES/RAP students will be run on May 30 and families will be notified of the results via email by June 2.
