The ELAC (English Language Advisory Committee) is a voluntary advisory committee made up of parents that works to advise, review and assist the school principal and staff in the development of appropriate programs for limited English proficient students. ELAC meetings are site based meetings to provide ELAC time to discuss, evaluate and advocate for improved services for English Learners, to assist in the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement including budget recommendation, and to create a structure for communication.
