Welcome to the VW PTA Page!
Community Service and volunteerism in classrooms and at school events is extremely high at Verdugo Woodlands. Volunteers include parents, grandparents, community members, retired teachers, former students, and Glendale City College (GCC) students. On a typical day there are approximately twenty to thirty volunteers working directly and indirectly with students in the classrooms. Volunteers work with small groups of students, support classroom preparation, and provide support in the library and computer lab. In addition, students are given an opportunity to benefit from and participate in community service through ties with local service organizations.
The Verdugo Woodlands Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is comprised of members including parents and teachers from the traditional and FLAG-Japanese programs, administrators, and community members who work together to provide resources and opportunities for students beyond the core. Verdugo Woodlands relies heavily on the PTA to support arts, technology, and education extra-curricular experiences for our students. Parents plan and coordinate fundraising events such as the Fall Festival to fund programs and support the school.
