Dear Parents and Students,

I want to welcome you and your families to Theodore Roosevelt Middle School for an exciting and promising 2017-2018 school year.  My name is Sandra E. Garcia and I will be your / your child’s Spanish FLAG | History teacher.

This is my second year here at Roosevelt Middle School, and I feel truly honored to be part of this incredible team of educators and administrators who work so diligently to ensure the academic success of ALL students.

For my part, I plan to use the skills I developed from more than a decade of work in the business administration field and from volunteering in different classroom settings, as well as what I learned during my undergraduate studies/degrees in business administration, psychology, and religious studies, together with a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching, to help my students learn/develop social studies skills, language skills, critical thinking, collaboration, global citizenship, self-advocacy, pro-social skills, and inquiry among many other concepts (whoa, that was a long sentence).

I know this is a very ambitious plan, but I strongly believe that with parental support and plenty of team-work, communication, and collaboration, together, all of us can ensure a successful school year.

Likes: Education, photography, reading, martial arts, and volunteering.
Family:  Married, two sons, and three pets  (two dogs and one fish).
