Partial Day Attendance:

Parents,    We've noticed an uptick in the number of students leaving campus early for appointments and personal matters. Partial Absences are when students are picked up before the end of the school day or when they are dropped off after the school day has started.    If your child was partially absent during the day due to a DENTIST or DOCTOR appointment, we need a doctor's note to clear the partial absence. If no doctor/dentist note is presented - the partial absence WILL NOT be excused. You only have three days to clear the partial absence with a DOCTOR'S NOTE.    Leaving early due to travel or personal reasons WILL NOT be excused and marked accordingly based on the GUSD attendance guidelines.    We understand that situations can arise and you must drop off or pick up your child outside the bell schedule. However, we can no longer excuse partial absences without proper documentation of a doctor/dentist appointment and for reasons that are marked "personal" or for "travel."    Thank you,  Mountain Avenue Attendance
