Hoover is a proud academic institution that provides students with the tools and opportunities needed to achieve all of their goals in all areas of their lives.  Hoover High School (HHS) has a grand array of courses, clubs, activites and after school programs to meet the needs and interests of evey student.  As an educational community, we commit to sustaining a positive environment where all students learn at high levels and are prepared to succedd beyond high school.  We focus on supporting students in getting to school on time and with a goal in mind.  Hoover staff encourages students to create any progams that they feel we are missing in order to stay current and inspire innovation. 

We Are Hoover...and that means we celebrate student success through programs like the Principal’s Honor Roll, Student of the Month, Senior Awards, Top Tornados and the Distinguished Scholars Academy (DSA).   We are excited to be introducing a new program to fortify the high expectations of our athletes.  HHS offers about 25 Advanced Placement classes each year, numerous Academies and a multitude of engaging electives.  We hope that all students find their path to a successful future pathway at Hoover.  Students who take advantage of the exceptional education we offer are attending universities like John Hopkins, Berkley, UCLA and Harvard and are receiving significant scholarships.  Hoover's Career Technical Education programs offer many pathways to success beyond high school in areas like the Arts, Auto, Careers in Education and Public Safety.  We are proud of our student committment to their engagement in the community and their continuous efforts to take advantage of all that Hoover has to offer!  

There is a spirit and energy at Hoover that one only gets acquainted with if they are lucky enough to be on our campus during any given school day.  We Are Hoover.  The faculty, staff, students and parents/guardians at our school are considered a family that is committed to each other.  We Are Hoover and we are one.  It is all of us or none of us. Hoover is a place where all students are expected find something to get involved in, thrive in their academics and be there for each other when someone is in need.  

Being a Hoover Tornado means that you are now a part of a tradition that began in 1929.  The tradition is alive and well. We Are Hoover.  At Hoover, we have an innovative culture that invites new clubs, ideas and programs.  Many of these ideas come to fruition through the commitment of our students, staff and parents/guardians.  Parents and guardians are welcome and can help our students thrive by joining the PTA, attending student events and supporting students in their efforts to be Responsible, Respectful and Engaged.  All Tornados are capable of whatever they put their minds to.
