In Spring 2011, I finished my master's program with an action research study on inquiry-based learning. My partner and I focused our study on POGIL. I know many of you have questions about POGIL, so I thought I would post a copy of the thesis for you to read at your leisure. It is a long paper, but explains:
- What led me to POGIL
- Current research about inquiry-based methods
- Information on our methods and study
- Results of our POGIL study
- Conclusion and plans for the future
I hope from the paper you'll see why I choose to use this method and why I believe it is effective. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions.
Thank you to all those that participated in the study, your input was invaluable!
