6th Grade Wheel

  • In this 10 week class, students will get exposed to the world of Food.  Safety and sanitation, reading recipes, measuring and cutting skills are taught at the beginning to ensure students know the basics of cooking any food.  Nutrtion, selection and cooking with fruits and vegetables, proteins, dairy, carbohydrates and fats will be taught as well.  This class includes demonstrations, as well as, hands on activities for the students.

Due to the costs of running this program, we are asking for a suggested donation of $5.00 to help supplement the Family & Consumer Science Department’s budget for food supplies.  We could also use donations of cleaning supplies like dish soap, antibacterial wipes, laundry detergent, etc.

This donation will enable the students to prepare recipes during their time in the class.  This suggested amount, or any amount you could contribute, would greatly assist our program.
