World Languages Advisory Committee (WLAC)

  • Glendale Unified School District is committed to supporting and continuously refining our robust FLAG and World Language Programs to promote student success. Part of that is convening stakeholders to participate in the World Languages Advisory Committee.

The Committee serves as an advisory to the Superintendent and district staff on our FLAG and World Language programs. It is not a decision making body but provides input and insight into strengthening and  improving our programs district wide.

In the 2019-20 school year, we will ask the Committee to provide perspective to the district on the following priority areas:

    1.  Increase commitment of students throughout elementary school and through middle and high schools
    2. Further develop enriching middle school FLAG programs and rigorous World Language courses in high school

    3. Broaden opportunities for students to develop cultural competence and social connectedness through meaningful activities
