World Languages Advisory Committee

  • Glendale Unified School District is dedicated to our robust FLAG and World Language programs and committed to further refining these programs to support our students. Last year, we created a World Languages Advisory Committee to garner stakeholder input and insight into how we can improve our programs. We are excited to reconvene this committee for the 2018-19 school year.

The Committee will continue to serve as an advisory to the Superintendent and district staff on our FLAG and World Language programs. The Committee is not a decision-making body but provides perspective on the elements necessary to strengthen these programs districtwide.
Over the course of the 2018-19 school year, we will ask the Committee to provide insight to the district as we focus on three key priorities:
    1. Further developing our middle school FLAG programs
    2. Increasing retention rates from elementary to middle school programs
    3. Building infrastructure for World Language courses and options for continued language study in high school
