World Languages Advisory Committee
-
Glendale Unified School District is dedicated to our robust FLAG and World Language programs and committed to further refining these programs to support our students. Last year, we created a World Languages Advisory Committee to garner stakeholder input and insight into how we can improve our programs. We are excited to reconvene this committee for the 2018-19 school year.
The Committee will continue to serve as an advisory to the Superintendent and district staff on our FLAG and World Language programs. The Committee is not a decision-making body but provides perspective on the elements necessary to strengthen these programs districtwide.Over the course of the 2018-19 school year, we will ask the Committee to provide insight to the district as we focus on three key priorities:- Further developing our middle school FLAG programs
- Increasing retention rates from elementary to middle school programs
- Building infrastructure for World Language courses and options for continued language study in high school
