About Transitional Kindergarten
-
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program that uses a modified Kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. TK serves a bridge between preschool and kindergarten for children turning 5 years old on or between September 2 and February 2.
TK is Expanding!
Glendale Unified is proud to implement a five-year phased process to expand TK to all four-year-olds by the 2025-26 school year. Students who turn 5 between September 2, 2022 and February 2, 2023 can enroll in TK for the 2022-23 school year.
