All About Ms. Iraheta

  • Ms. Iraheta

    * I'm a proud mom of 2 great guys! My oldest son saves lives along with other brave emergency responders. My youngest is a student at UCLA studying mechanical engineer. Both my sons attended GUSD schools, so I have also been a parent in the district.

    * My career in GUSD began in 1995 at Cerritos. I worked at Hoover for five years, then left for 8 years to be a counselor at Glendale High and Roosevelt MS. I am so happy to be a Tornado once again. I'm finally back home with my Ohana which as always been my ultimate goal.

    * I graduated from Cal State LA, National University, & CSUN where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, a Master's Degree in Counseling and in Educational Administration respectively. I also earned my Pupil Personnel Service (PPS), Administrative Service & Teaching Credentials with my degrees.

    * My mantra is to continue to live "The Year of Yes." I continue to say yes to creating more happy moments with family and friends while helping teenagers along the way.

Together we will work on developing the mindsets and behaviors that increase academic learning, attending college, self-care, and foster career readiness.  Our goal is to help you build persistence, resilience, and grit as they are key components to your success in school and beyond.
