All parents are welcome to become volunteers at Edison. There are a variety of ways in which parents can assist the school. A brief training is offered to parents in which they will learn the basics i.e. how to use copy machines, where to find supplies, etc. Volunteers are asked to check in at the office when arriving on campus. They will be given a visitor's pass which is to be clearly displayed while on campus. A current Tuberculosis test result must be on file at the school before a volunteer may begin working with students. Edison Elementary encourages volunteers to be an active part in the school. Volunteers help in classrooms, the library, at the lunch shelter and on the playground. Please note that not all teachers use classroom volunteers and it is their right to decide if they would like to have parents volunteering in the classroom. Please contact the school office for more information. If you would like to be a Room Parent, please contact Mrs. Alves at email@example.com or the school office for more information.
