    Travel Town Museum Foundation, a non-profit educational group that restores trains and provides educational outreach and Museum service at the Travel Town Museum (the one with the big trains) in Griffith Park.
     
    WE NEED HELP!
     
    We are going to be hosting “Depot Day” our annual open house and transportation fair.  It will be on Sunday, October 17th.  If you have students who need to fulfill any community service hours, we will be hosting two  “cleanup days” where we wash the trains, blow off the platforms, clean up leaves, etc. and then we will have the event day itself, where we will need help setting up tables, assisting vendors and putting stuff away.  
     
    Please let any students who need to earn their volunteer hours know about this opportunity — it is pretty cool to work at the museum and help preserve the trains!  
     
    Students should bring their masks, they will be working outside and regular Covid protocols will be observed.  No one will work in a group larger than 3-4, and we will be outside.  Friends and small groups are encouraged to sign up together.   You can work in teams to clean the trains!

    BE RESPONSIBLE!  Sign up in advance and then show up.  Make a commitment and keep it!  It is important to your community!
     
    Volunteers must commit to work for 5 hours per shift.  Students can bring their forms for their health class and sign in our our Museum sign in sheet.  
     
    Depot Day Cleanup Day 1:  Saturday October 9, 2021.  Shift one:  10am to 3 pm.  Late Shift of noon to 5.  
     
    Depot Day Cleanup Day 2:  Saturday October 16, 2021 10am to 3 pm. Late Shift of noon to 5. 
     
    Depot Day Itself:  October 17, 2021  Work shifts 9-2 and Noon to 5.

    Please sign up in advance so we know how many volunteers we need to have equipment for.  We usually provide a Pizza lunch for $5, but we need to know how many volunteers will be here!!!
