Community Service Ideas for the 2021-2022 School Year

Community Service
  • Community service is work done by a person to benefit others without pay. It is often done near the area where one lives, so your own community reaps the benefits of your work. Students are encouraged to participate in community service to learn new skills and give back, but it is not a requirement to promote from middle school. Yes, you read that right; community service is optional. Students earn a Community Service Pin for completing 25 hours in a school year.

Eighth grade students promoting with honors are required to complete 10 hours of community service for Green level promotion and students going for Gold  level promotion must complete 20 hours.

During the pandemic, Titans can complete their community service hours while staying safer at home.
