The mission of the Student Wellness Services is to help each student reach his or her educational potential, by addressing the child’s social, emotional, and overall well-being. The Student Wellness Services provides parents with an opportunity to receive ongoing support and education via parenting classes, case management, as well as various parenting workshops and presentations throughout the school year. Programs and services offered through Student Wellness Services are accessible to all GUSD students and families.

Over the last 6 years, GUSD had approximately 175 interns provide a variety of services through the Student Wellness Services. The Intern Academy serves to link students with trained interns who will help them work through the challenges that are interfering with their academic, personal, or social adjustment while collaborating with strong community partners. The Intern Academy is a staple component of the Student Wellness Services.
