WHAT IS REFLECTIONS? Reflections Art Program has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families, and kids are at the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE? All students attending PTA schools sponsoring the program are invited to participate.
HOW ARE ENTRIES JUDGED? The artwork is submitted first to school-level PTA, where it is recognized, celebrated and judged by five grade-level divisions. Non-judged Special Artists division celebrates student artists with special needs. The local School PTA then chooses a selection of entries to be judged by PTA units. This art is sent on to our Glendale Council and then District Councils for consideration. The final artwork submitted to California State PTA by districts is then considered for Outstanding Interpretation, Awards of Excellence or Awards of Merit. Outstanding Interpretation and Award of Excellence entries go on to represent California in the final National PTA judging round. Students can download forms, rules, and regulations for each category HERE.
