Early College Academy
Beginning with the 2019-20 school year, GUSD is partnering with Glendale Community College to offer Early College Academy (ECA). Students who participate in the ECA can complete up to two years of college for FREE before graduating from high school!
Students enter the ECA in 10th grade. Courses will be taught by GCC professors and held at Hoover High School during the school day. The program will be open to all GUSD students. Students wishing to enroll in the ECA whose resident school is not Hoover must obtain an intra-district permit and transfer to Hoover.
Spaces in the ECA are limited and an application is required. Hoover High School 9th grade students will have priority for the ECA, but current 9th grade students from other GUSD schools are encouraged to apply.
As Hoover students will always have priority, current 8th grade students who are interested in participating in the ECA are encouraged to enroll at Hoover beginning in 9th grade.

You can also meet with an ECA representative during Hoover High School’s Open House on February 28, from 6-8 p.m.
