On Thursday, October 17th, all schools in California schools will be participating in the GREAT SHAKEOUT. This is an earthquake drill in order to help our students and teachers prepare for a real emergency. During our drill, all of our students will practice how to drop and cover during an earthquake and will evacuate the building safely to the field. Our teachers will be practicing search and rescue as well as first aid stations. This is a good time to speak with your child and family members about what to do during an emergency, go over who will be picking up your child in case of an emergency and for you to make sure those names are on our emergency cards so your child can be released to them.
On Thursday, October 31st, a Costume Parade will be held on the playground beginning promptly at 8:15 a.m. Parents are invited to attend.
Cerritos is pleased to announce its partnership with Code to the Future!
