Facts about the Coronavirus
According to the Los Angeles County Office of Public Health, the risk from the novel coronavirus 2019 to spread in Los Angeles County residents is deemed to be low at this time. There is no immediate threat to the general public, no special precautions are required, and people should not be excluded from activities based on their race, country of origin, or recent travel if they do not have symptoms of respiratory illness. Los Angeles County residents, students, workers, and visitors should continue to engage in their regular activities and practice good public health hygiene as this is the height of flu season across the County.

Our parent-run volunteer Foundation is launching our fall funds drive for 2019-2020. We heard you: too many events, too little time, so we're trying something different this year. If every family at Franklin donates $285 per student, we can hit our fundraising goal for the entire year and be done this fall.
The Glendale Unified School District extends their deepest gratitude to Fondazione Italia for their generous grant to the Italian program at Franklin Magnet School, Toll Middle School, and Hoover High School. Through their financial support, the district is able to fund teaching assistants who are native speakers of Italian in the elementary program and help supplement the funding for the secondary Italian teacher as the program grows. Their contribution is instrumental to the success of the Italian program throughout the district, and GUSD is thankful for their ongoing partnership.
