    Notice is hereby given that on October 8, 2014, the Board of Education of the Glendale Unified School District appointed Sandra Russell to fill the vacancy on the Board of Education created by the resignation of Mary Boger. Mrs. Boger filed her resignation letter on July 30, 2014 with the County Superintendent of Schools, indicating a deferred resignation date of August 31, 2014. 
     
    Unless a petition calling for a special election, containing a sufficient number of signatures, is filed in the office of the County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment, the provisional appointment shall become an effective appointment and continues through April 7, 2015, completing the remainder of the term of resigning Board Member Mary Boger.  ...read about the process
