The minimum qualifications are 24 units in Early Childhood Development, plus 16 General Education units, plus 175 days of 3 hours or more per day experience working in a child development program, and a Child Development Teacher Permit. Child Development teaching positions are full-time and include an excellent benefit package. Glendale Unified School District is seeking enthusiastic applicants for the position of EDUCATION ASSISTANT I. Education Assistants are needed in our preschools, center-based child development programs, and after-school programs. Experience working with preschool or school-age children in a center-based child development program or in a recreational setting is preferred but not necessary. Education Assistant positions are part-time, from three to three and one-half hours per day, between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The starting salary begins at $9.27 an hour and is increased to $9.75 an hour after passing a probation period of six months.
