Pacific Avenue Education Center (PAEC) is a multi-faceted center for education currently housing the following programs:
College View Schoolis a public school in the Glendale Unified School District. The school provides highly individualized special education instruction and designated instructional services to an extraordinary group of students. Through the Foothill Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), College View serves students from Burbank, Glendale and La Canada between the ages of 3 through 22 with moderate to severe disabilities. College View's eight classrooms provide instructions in functional academics, life skills, communication, socialization, vocational skills and motor skills. The programs are highly engaging and motivating and the children thrive.
Early Bird Preschoolprovides a safe and nurturing environment for students ages 3 and 4, that respects individual needs, interests and differences while promoting educational and life experiences.
Early Education Preschoolprovides a safe and nurturing environment for students ages 3 and 4. The program promotes age appropriate educational and life experiences which include exploration and learning in literacy, mathematics, science, and physical and social-emotional development.
Edison Elementary School-Age Child Careprogram offers instruction and supervision for students grades K-6 and is open to students attending Edison Elementary School. The focus of the program is to meet the needs of working families by providing child care. The program hours are 6:30 a.m. until school begins and from school dismissal until 6 p.m. The students' daily routines include homework assistance and indoor and outdoor activities such as sports, recreation, computers, arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and theme-based projects that support classroom activities.
