TECHNOLOGY
On February 7, 2012, the Board of Education approved Allocation of  $1,314,450 in Measure S Funds for school site technology purchases.  These funds will allow each site to customize their technology requirements based upon staff needs assessments.

SOLAR
The Solar projects at Clark Magnet and Crescenta Valley High Schools, Rosemont Middle School, Columbus, Keppel, Monte Vista and Mountain Avenue Elementary Schools are currently under design. SolarCity, the design builder, has visited these schools spending between 3-5 hours at each site, measuring and evaluating electric meters in order to finalize the layout and prepare single line diagrams. The current schedule anticipates submission of design drawings for approval to the State Architect the end of August.

The Board of Education, at its meeting on January 17, 2012, approved the amendment to the SolarCity contract.  This re-negotiated price provides the District with a savings of over $360,000.  Attached is the Measure S Update to the Board of Education on January 17, 2012.
