Construction of an entire new school was completed in 2004, including new classrooms, playground with large grassy field, library media center, auditorium, and administration offices.
35 new Macintosh G4 computers are housed in the library media center with a full-time Library Assistant.
Each classroom contains the state of the art infrastructure to support technology.
Kindergarten program maintains an extended day.
Student leadership is promoted through Conflict Resolution Managers, PAWS and Student Council.
Before/after school programs offer chorus, intervention sessions, enrichment classes such as reading, chess, science, drama, and poetry.
Cerritos Elementary School, through the cooperative efforts of students, parents, community and staff, is committed to educating students who will become academically successful, creative and socially responsible citizens.
